Oral Anabolic Steroids

There are 8 common oral anabolic steroids on the market today. Of the 8, some will be well-suited for cutting and others for bulking. We will rarely find an oral steroid that is as versatile for both bulking and cutting cycles. However, there are oral anabolic steroids that can have a crossover purpose, but it is rare. Nature:

By their nature, most oral anabolic steroids belong to the C17-Alpha Alkylated (C17-aa) family. This nature refers to the hormone being structurally altered at the 17th carbon position in-order for it to survive the first pass through the liver. Without this structural change, the hormone would largely be destroyed by the liver, and largely rendered useless to the body. Unfortunately, C17-aa oral anabolic steroids are also toxic to the liver; how much can vary from steroid to steroid. For example, Halotestin is one of the most toxic steroids of all, where Anavar is very mildly toxic.

How dangerous are C17-aa oral anabolic steroids? That depends on many factors and cannot be summed up by a single statement. How you live your life will significantly determine if any permanent damage is done. Those who consume large amounts of alcohol will severally damage their liver, as excessive alcohol consumption is more toxic than any C17-aa steroid. Further, many over the counter medications carry higher levels of toxicity than most all anabolic steroids, but as you will take oral anabolic steroids every day when they are being used, caution must be applied. Most oral anabolic steroids should not be used for more than 6 weeks at a time, with 8 weeks being our maximal time frame of use. Steroids like Halotestin should be limited to 4 weeks of use, with some finding the 4 week mark to also be suitable with Anadrol.

Regardless of how long you cycle, if you are responsible and do not get carried away with dosing, assuming you are living a healthy lifestyle you will be fine. The liver rejuvenates at a very high rate, and while liver enzyme levels will increase with use they will return to normal rapidly once use is discontinued. Again, we are assuming you are supplementing responsibly. Those who supplement responsibly will again keep dosing moderate, only use one oral steroid at a time, avoid all other oral medications when possible and will avoid heavy alcohol consumption. While avoiding heavy alcohol consumption will help you, avoiding all alcohol consumption when supplementing with oral anabolic steroids is advised.

It must be noted; regarding the C17-aa nature, Winstrol, also available in an injectable form is one of the few injectable steroids that is of a C17-aa nature. Further, of the popular 8 oral steroids, Primobolan and Proviron are not C17-aa steroids. For this reason, oral Primobolan is almost a useless steroid and injectable Primobolan Depot should be your first choice. Moreover, while Proviron does carry a decent anabolic nature, due to the lack of the C17-aa quality it has very little use in most cycles.
